What was originally a district of the town of Burtscheid became part of Aachen in 1897 when Burtscheid was incorporated. Today, the Frankenberger Viertel is one of the most popular residential areas in Aachen because of its colorful diversity and close-knit community feeling. Explore our charming neighborhood and walk past Frankenberg Castle, take a lap through Frankenberger Park and past the Wilhelminian style houses of Oppenhoffallee.
