Wie kam es zu den Holzkisten – auch Exportkisten genannt?
Nach Ende des zweiten Weltkrieges erreichten immer mehr Printen-Bestellungen von Aachenern aus dem Ausland die Bäckerei Nobis. Was fehlte, war eine schöne und geeignete Verpackung, um die Printen an die Menschen zu versenden, die auch außerhalb von Aachen nicht auf ihr Lieblingsprodukt verzichten wollten. So entwickelte Netty Nobis eine Printenkiste aus Holz. Netty Nobis war die Frau von Heinz Nobis, dem Enkel des Firmengründers Johannes Michael Nobis. Dank Netty Nobis Idee werden seit 1957 Printen in der Holzkiste versendet. Und so prägte Netty Nobis auch diesen alten Reim: Diese Kiste, von uns erdacht, und von so vielen nachgemacht, äußerlich sie allen gleicht, doch Nobis -Printen bleiben unerreicht.

How did the wooden boxes – also called export boxes – come about?
After the end of the Second World War, more and more Printen orders from Aachen residents reached the Nobis bakery from abroad. What was missing was a nice and suitable packaging to send the Printen to the people who did not want to miss their favorite product even outside Aachen. So Netty Nobis
developed a Printen box made of wood. Netty Nobis was the wife of Heinz Nobis, the grandson of the company founder Johannes Michael Nobis. Thanks to Netty Nobis‘ idea, Printen have been shipped in the wooden box since 1957. And so Netty Nobis also coined this old rhyme: This box, invented by us, and imitated by so many, externally it resembles all, but Nobis -Printen remain unmatched.

Comment sont nées les caisses en bois – également appelées caisses d’exportation ?
Après la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, la boulangerie Nobis recevait de plus en plus de commandes de Printen de la part d’Aixois de l’étranger. Ce qui manquait, c’était un emballage beau et adapté pour envoyer les Printen aux personnes qui ne voulaient pas renoncer à leur produit préféré, même en dehors d’Aix-la-Chapelle. C’est ainsi que Netty Nobis
a mis au point une boîte à printen en bois. Netty Nobis était l’épouse de Heinz Nobis, le petit-fils du fondateur de l’entreprise, Johannes Michael Nobis. Grâce à l’idée de Netty Nobis, les printen sont envoyés dans une caisse en bois depuis 1957. Et c’est ainsi que Netty Nobis a également inventé cette vieille rime : Cette boîte, imaginée par nous et copiée par tant d’autres, ressemble extérieurement à toutes les autres, mais les Printen Nobis restent inégalés.
